I know what it is like to be an engineer stepping into leadership. The pressure, the uncertainty, the expectation to manage people when you have spent years perfecting technical skills. It is a challenge no one prepares you for.

With decades of experience leading large scale engineering projects across four continents, David has made the transition himself, from engineer to confident, high impact leader, and now he helps others do the same.
A Civil Engineer by qualification, David is a highly experienced leader and motivator with extensive Project Director level experience, specialising in the strategic planning and delivery of large scale infrastructure projects. These include light rail, mass transit, heavy haul and high speed railways, as well as highways and marine works, including the delivery of pit to port mineral bulk handling systems.
He has international experience gained in the UK, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, India and the high density cities of South East Asia, particularly Hong Kong. He is used to leading and motivating large multi national, multi disciplinary teams in high pressure, high stakes environments.
In parallel with his engineering career, David focused on deepening his understanding of personal development and human performance, initially studying with Tony Robbins, then going on to achieve NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer certification, Sports Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy qualifications. This blend of engineering rigour and human psychology is the foundation of his coaching approach.
Two disciplines, deliberately combined. Chartered engineering practice on one side, human performance and leadership psychology on the other.
Experience across major international programmes

I believe leadership is not about authority, it is about influence, clarity and trust. My mission is to help engineers step into leadership roles with confidence, build high performing teams, and navigate complex decisions with ease.
Outside of engineering and coaching, David enjoys spending time with his wife Luciana and their two Bearded Collies. He is a passionate cyclist, snow skier, sailor and scuba diver, and a self confessed motorbike enthusiast who has owned many bikes over the years, often using them for long distance touring.
This curiosity and love of challenge outside the office are qualities David brings directly to his coaching: a belief that growth, adventure and the willingness to push beyond the familiar are what define great leaders.

Start with a no obligation conversation. There is no pressure, just an honest read on whether coaching is the right next step.
