Meet David Bush
I know what it’s like to be an engineer stepping into leadership. The pressure, the uncertainty, the expectation to manage people when you’ve spent years perfecting technical skills—it’s a challenge no one prepares you for.
That’s why I do what I do. With decades of experience leading large-scale engineering projects, I’ve made the transition myself—and now I help others do the same. My approach blends real-world experience with proven leadership strategies, giving you the tools to lead with confidence, communicate with impact, and build a thriving career.
David has general manager, project director, senior project management and engineering management experience on major infrastructure projects where he is used to leading and motivating large multi-national, multi-disciplinary teams.
A Civil Engineer by qualification, he is a highly experienced leader and motivator with extensive Project Director level experience specialising in the strategic planning and project delivery of large scale infrastructure projects including light rail, mass transit, heavy haul and high speed railways. He has also been involved with highways and marine works including the delivery of pit to port mineral bulk handling systems. He has international experience gained in the UK, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, India and the high density cities of South East Asia, particularly Hong Kong.
David is an accomplished speaker who is highly experienced in six sigma, NLP, hypnotherapy, coaching, leadership styles and performance based leadership techniques.
Earlier in his career he worked on the design and construction management of major highway, rail and marine projects internationally.
In parallel with his engineering career, Dave focussed on increasing his awareness in the realm of personal development, initially doing numerous courses with Tony Robbins before going on to study NLP to Master Practitioner then Trainer Level. This, in turn, lead to certification in Sports Hypnosis then Hypnotherapy with Dr Topher Morrison. In addition David attended the Firewalking Instructor Training with Tolly Burkan.

In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife, Luciana and their two bearded collies, cycle, snow ski, sail and scuba dive, when he gets the chance. Furthermore, he really loves motor bikes and has owned many over the years, often using them for long distance touring.
